There seems to be a spell on me. The type that gently directs me away from any prior plans and grounds. This spell has the power to take me to places that are beautifully distinct and magic.
I think it started last year by choice when I went to Italy. After having spent three months in Pisa I had fallen madly in love with Tuscany. Because of this love affair I purchased tickets to Rome with the intention to return to Pisa. This is where the spell showed its force: I received a very lucrative job offer that I couldn’t resist. Pretty swiftly I was cast to Norway.
Now, it’s Bergen, baby! I have a feeling this is going to be one long trip, exceeding the three months I have planned to stay here for work. What I don’t know is where it’s going to take me.
It’s not down in any map; true places never are. -Herman Melville
